Pride is the original sin—from Satan to Adam and Eve to us. While dining at the house of a Pharisee, Jesus healed a man with dropsy and addressed the dangers of pride. He invites us, then, to humble ourselves by confessing our sin, receiving His life, and taking the highest place of serving our neighbors in love.
