Like Peter, John, and James, we all desire glory without suffering, but the way of Jesus is the way of the cross. In the transfiguration, we glimpse the glory of Jesus that will be seen again in His resurrection. This same glory will be ours, too, as Jesus brings us through the daily crosses and suffering that we have in this life.
