An Inheritance, A Rich Fool, and Jesus

Passage: Luke 12:13-21
Service Type:

Bible Text: Luke 12:13-21 | Preacher: Pastor Peter Gregory | SOMEONE IN THE CROWD SAID TO JESUS, “TEACHER, TELL MY BROTHER TO DIVIDE THE INHERITANCE WITH ME” (Luke 12:13). Really? Jesus says to that someone and to all of us, “ONE’S LIFE DOESN’T CONSIST IN THE ABUNDANCE OF HIS POSSESSIONS” (Luke 12:15). No? Then of what does life consist? St. Paul reminds us: CHRIST IS YOUR LIFE (Colossians 3:4). Jesus Himself says, “If you want an inheritance, have mine—the whole thing!” And by His death, His inheritance is yours.
