Every month or so, with a break during the summer, our more senior members are invited to a mystery. Not the murder mystery type, but a fun-filled afternoon including a meal and other adventures. The invitation to this event is accompanied by a package of M&M’s candy (i.e. Merry Mysteries) to set the flavor and a clue or two to challenge our guests to figure out where the adventure lies. Sometimes we visit an historical site guided by our own personal docent, or have a picnic at a botanical garden, or enjoy a home cooked meal hosted by a member of the church, often accompanied by someone’s travel experience, or a bit of dramatic reading, or a boat ride on a neighboring lake, or even a movie shown on a large screen TV. It’s always a great time of sharing, getting to know each other, and fellowship.
