The love of wealth is a barrier to entering the kingdom of God. “It’s easier,” Jesus Christ says, “for a camel to go through the eye of the needle.” Yet taking the burden of our weakness and sin and pricked by thorn, nail, and spear, He makes a way into that kingdom for all who believe and gives a promise to His followers for this time and for eternal life.
